Happy Halloween
We had a great Halloween!
During the day, the kids and Jay carved the pumpkin. Then we watched football and ate an early dinner before getting ready for the festivities.
We made a quick stop at Sam and Eligios. They had a full set up in their driveway- complete with food, fire and crazy wigs. The kids enjoyed running around to stay warm.
Keeping with tradition, we came back home to go trick or treating with our neighbors, The Schaufelds. We've been doing this ever since Jack was two. Its been great to see all the different stages of trick or treating with them. This year, all the kids (minus Nate) were able to run up to the houses alone while we waited at the driveways. We made it all the way around the block and got lots of candy.
Hadley, Jack and Remy counted their pieces when we got home while the adults enjoyed a drink or two. Apple cider with rum...yum yum. That's a treat for me! Not that the treats stopped there...I enjoyed a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup or two.
It was the best Halloween yet!
