Jack's First Job

Assistant Principal Herold and Principal Bazdlyo
A few months ago Jack, Remy and I went to the Peaslee (their school) fair.  The fair had face painting, games, bouncy houses, food and a fundraising silent auction.  As soon as we got to the fair, Jack was sure that we had to participate in the silent auction.  He was just as sure that he would like to bid on the job of Assistant Principal.  Mind you, there were plenty of other options; an opportunity to design your own cake that a local bakery would then make for you, extra recess for your class or having a teacher come to your house for a walk.  But it HAD to be Assistant Principal for Jack.

They announced the winners at the end of the fair and the look on Jacks face when he won was priceless.  He was beyond ecstatic!

He waited patiently over the next few months to receive his call to action.  Two weeks ago, a letter came in the mail from school addressed to "Master Jack Herold".  It was from Mr. Bazdlyo, the school Principal.  It asked for Jacks assistance on the morning of Monday, June 20th.  The third graders were holding the State Fair and Jack was needed to help tour and greet.  He also got to greet the buses, wear a walkie-talkie and have snack with Mr B.  Jack accepted the assignment right away.

Daddy driving the kids to school on Monday.  Jack was also excited to take the Mustang!
He was so excited when he woke up on Monday and thrilled to talk about his day at dismissal.

As usual, Jack continues to impress me with how enthusiastic and out going he is.  We are so proud of Jack for a job well done at his first employment opportunity:).
