Bugs, Books, Bday and more

We finished up the week with a bang!

Remy had a school project to make an insect or bug out of recycled materials.  She chose a firefly which turned out super cute. 

Jack was thrilled to finish another Harry Potter book.  He is on to the next one already.

Nate got to celebrate Averys 2nd birthday with her.  "AB" as he likes to call her, brought over some yummy cupcakes and was gracious enough to feed some to Nate.  Cutie.

Today, we got working bright and early for our annual Memorial Day weekend tradition of hanging out with the Perusse family.  Jay set up a new patio set.  Jack and Rems cleaned out the pool then went swimming.  Nate did a good job of entertaining himself at the water table.

Turns out Chad is a regular swimming master.  He provided hours of entertainment with his dives and challenges.  We loved watching....and Jack enjoyed playing along. 

One particular challenge- diving through a small baby hoop- almost ended up with a trip to the floatie surgeon.

Luckily a jump back in the pool solved the problem.

Now the kids are in bed and we are looking forward to relaxing.  I'm also counting the minutes to Jays morning bloody marys on the deck!
