Southworst- Vacation Part Three

"They dont make you pay much money but they make you wait a long time."
-Jack (on Southwest Airlines)

Last night we completed our nine day multi-state vacation.

With three children, one of them being under a year, a nine day trip seemed overwhelming when we were planning it. Everyone did great! Jay and I couldnt have been more impressed at how they all made it through and made our trip so pleasant.

With that said, ending a nine day trip with airline delays and a plane full of the Louisville Girls Rowing Team was tough. If you have ever flown Southwest, you know the crazy boarding structure. Usually you get a boarding pass with an A, B or C and a number from 1-60. Families board after all the A's and right before the B's. This trip, after waiting what seemed like forever for the plane to arrive, they boarded A 1-15 then the entire Rowing team. Then went back to finish the A's. We were after all those people and another family of five.

We managed to get 3 seats and one across the isle. After a few seat changes, it ended with Nate in my lap, Remy beside me, Jack beside her and Jay across the isle. Nate didnt sleep a wink and had a horrible diaper blow up (too much information I know) right after take off. Remy was upset that she couldnt sprawl out across seats. Jack had a "pretend" allergy attack.

I could provide more details but really all that is important is that we made it. We are home. Everyone slept in his/her own bed. We had a great time. Stay tuned for Vacation- Part One.
