Patty and Patrick

Have you seen these two?  Patty and Patrick Herold.  aka Remy and Jack.  Two kids that are so into the holiday, we decided to rename them.

Similar to last year, there has been lots of craziness trying to catch the leprechaun.  Apparently this year we have a single guy coming to the house named Lucky.  Patty and Patrick assured me that it was possible to catch him.  They were sure they can out smart the fella.

Note to Lucky from Remy
There were lots of traps and even "dummy" leprechauns.  Cookie bait.  Nice notes begging for treats.  We had it all.

Not to mention the sheer amount of green and accessories these two wore.

Lucky must have appreciated all the effort Patty and Patrick put in to the game because he left all the kids green carnations, green and silver hershey kisses (no gold coins to be found anywhere!) and colored the toilets green.  That was a real big hit.

Pin the Beer in the Hand

No St Pattys Day would be complete without a party.  The kids made decorations and games.  One favorite was based on the Pin the Tail on the Donkey game they played at Elliotts birthday party last weekend.  Jack made it up.  Pin the Beer in the Hand.  Is it a good thing for an 8 year old to have this type of imagination? Hmmm.  Like most games involving beer, Jay won.

Remys game was of the scavenger hunt variety and involved chocolate.  That was up my alley for sure.

Grammi was babysitting Elliott, so Papa sent a request for a seat at the dinner table.  He entertained the kids with a game of Go Fish and brought cupcakes.  He also drank all the beer we had in the house....just kidding Dad.

It was a great St Pattys Day as usual.  Every year Patty and Patrick take the festivities up a notch....I cant wait to see what is in store next year!

Nate- newest poses involve backing up to something.  I think he was trying to out-pose Remy.
